Two University of Ibadan dentistry students, Yusuf Abdullah Olalekan (CEO) and Adesokan Emmanuel (CTO), have won a ₦4 million grant at the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) Techpreneur Summit through their co-founded startup, Errandly.

The summit held on June 11, 2026, at the Lagos Continental Hotel, saw Errandly emerge in third place, securing the ₦4,000,000 grant.
According to the founders, over 800 startups applied for the competition, with only 10 selected to pitch in person at the grand finale in Lagos.
“There was the first stage where about 800 startups applied. The next stage involved an online pitch session used to select the top 10. We were among the top 10 startups invited to the Lagos Continental Hotel for the finals,” Adesokan recounted.
The startup currently operates within the University of Ibadan and the University College Hospital (UCH) communities. The team also noted that the platform has recorded over 2,140 errands, attracted more than 1,500 users, and enabled student runners to earn over ₦1.4 million.
Speaking with IndyPress, Adesokan described the award as a validation of the team’s efforts and progress.
“I feel good. It’s a feeling of having our ideas properly validated. The comments from the judges encouraged us and showed that we are on the right track with what we are doing,” he said.
“Getting that win validated quite a number of things. This is the second time we are winning. The first was at the Muslim Tech Summit in Ife. In another competition, we made the top 10, and now we finished third at the DBN Techpreneur Summit. It’s a strong validation of the effort we have put into building the platform.”
The founders noted that the grant will support the growth and expansion of Errandly as it continues to provide logistics and errand services within campus communities.
Errandly is a peer-to-peer campus logistics and errand platform that enables students to outsource errands while allowing other students to earn income by completing them.
