Following the Independence Hall Alumni Personality Lecture, the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, paid a visit to Independence Hall.
Accompanied by the University of Ibadan Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, and members of his entourage, Barrister Lawal visited Room B65, where he resided as an undergraduate.
During the visit, he promised the current legal occupants of the room ₦100,000 each.
Also present during the visit were the Dean of Students, Professor Demola Lewis; the Independence Hall Warden, Dr. Solomon Adekunle Odedokun; and other dignitaries.
