The Academic Staff Union of Universities, University of Ibadan branch will hold her congress, and a protest afterward on Monday, November 28th, 2022 at the Large Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Education.

The event, scheduled to commence by 10 am is aimed at sensitizing members of the Staff Union, students, and other stakeholders on the bedeviling crisis within the Nigerian public universities’ system.

At the event, speakers will address the topic “Enslavery of Nigerian Academics: A Plot To Kill Public Universities”.

Expected speakers at the Congress/Protest include the former ASUU National Treasurer, Professor Ademola Aremu, Oyo State Joint Action Front Secretary, Comrade Abbey Trotsky, National Leader Socialist Labour, Barrister Femi Aborishade and the Students’ Union President, University of Ibadan, Comrade Adewale Adeyinka.
