The University of Ibadan has on Tuesday, January 02, 2024 debunked viral claim that the institution is conducting change of course in its 2023/2024 admission process.

A copy of the release obtained by IndyPress, which was duly signed by the University Registrar, who doubles as the Secretary to the University’s Senate, Mr. G.O Saliu, warned prospective candidates and their parents from being scammed, as the claim making round is untrue.

The statement reads; “The attention of the University of Ibadan has been drawn to the news, making rounds online that the University was conducting Change of Course Admissions and that candidates should log in to a link. The news is false! Candidates and their parents are advised not to allow themselves to be scammed.”

To avoid been played into deception, the University has further implored the general public to obtain factual developments regarding admission on the University’s official website.

“All correct information relating to the admission process can only be obtained from the University of Ibadan website. Please be circumspect” the statement read.
