Indigenous Association, NAOSS Holds Finalists Summit

The National Association of Ogun State Students, (NAOSS) University of Ibadan Chapter, on Thursday, 9th of March, 2024, held a finalist summit at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall Junior Common Room.

The summit, which was the first of its kind, was graced with the presence of invited guests, such as Mr. Eniayo Akintunjoye, a lawyer and public analyst; Mr. Adebayo Falade, a graduate of Political Science at Obafemi Awolowo University; Mr. Olamilekan Agbalajobi, a graduate of Industrial Engineering at the University of Ibadan.

Mr. Adebayo Falade, while addressing the students, emphasized on the need for discipline and consistency, describing both as the bedrock for achieving greatness in life.

“There is nothing bad in ignorance, but staying too long in it is very wrong. It is very important that you pursue knowledge in order to be relevant” Mr. Adebayo Falade said.

Also, Mr. Eniayo took over by urging the finalists to build network and rich relationships among themselves. He advised the students to embrace building relationships with people rather than being primarily focused on money.

Speaking with Indypress, the General Secretary of the Asociation, Oladipupo Adeyemi explained that the event was put together to groom all final year students in the association, who in a matter of weeks will be graduating.

The event was for finalists to prepare them for the world ahead. The program was facilitated to discuss the things to expect after school. Our speakers spoke on how each finalists can cope with life after school experience” Oladipupo Adeyemi explained.
