The Literary and Debating Society Disciplinary Committee on Friday, 6th December, 2024, suspended the ‘Jaw War: Rise of Legends’ Quarter Finals previously scheduled for the 7th of December, 2024.

This suspension was revealed in an internal memorandum released by the TLDS Disciplinary Committee and signed by Ajise Israel, and Afolabi Simisola, the general secretary and the chairperson of the committee respectively.

The suspension of the next round of the competition is coming after a petition initiated by the Senator for Independence Hall Constituency.

The Great Independence Hall Literary and Debating Society constituency had alleged an injustice committed against it at the last round of the competition that held on the 5th of December 2024 during which it scores with Queen Idia Hall have remained withheld.
