A fallen tree along the Faculty of Technology road, University of Ibadan, has been obstructing easy movement for some time.
The tree, which lies across a segment of the road, poses a significant danger to all road users, IndyPress can report.
A nearby vendor, who sells popcorn, informed IndyPress that the tree has been in its fallen state since last year.

“The tree fell down last year, and when I returned today, it was still the same,” she said.
A group of four students from the Faculty of Technology, University of Ibadan, returning from a lecture, told IndyPress that they had been aware of the fallen tree’s condition since Monday, January 6, 2024.
Efforts to obtain a comment from the Students’ Union House Secretary, Elemide Daniel, were unsuccessful, as his phone line was unreachable at the time of filing this report.
Tech Road is located near the Faculty of Technology, University of Ibadan. The road is a vital connector between several key locations, including Obafemi Awolowo Hall of Residence, the UI Zoo, and the Archaeology Department, among others.
