The 13th Assembly of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), University of Ibadan, has announced an emergency meeting to address urgent matters requiring immediate legislative attention.
This was disclosed in a memorandum co-signed by the UI SRC Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludele John Ayomide and the Clerk, Hon. Obi Chiamaka Joan, on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
According to the memo, the sitting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the SRC Chamber, Kunle Adepeju Building, University of Ibadan, by 5:00 PM.
The agenda for the emergency meeting includes the state of the Union, matters arising, and any other business (AOB).
It added that attendees can dress casually to the sitting and are expected to be punctual.
“Your prompt attendance and active participation are highly required, as matters of importance will be discussed and resolved,” the memo stated.
Recall that on Friday July 31, 2026, the Great Independence Hall Constituency demanded an emergency sitting following the constitutional breach by the UI SRC Speaker who unilaterally conferred honorary membership on Hon. Odidiomo, an Oyo State senatorial aspirant.
