The Great Independence Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan, has set to hold a Congress scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026, by 6PM at the Indy Hall Quadrangle.
The notice for the Congress was released in a memo signed and co-signed by the Administrator General, Obinelo Chisom and the Secretary of States, Najimdeen Rabiu.
According to the notice, the Congress is to deliberate on the selection and inauguration of the Katanga Republic Electoral Committee (KREC) ahead of the forthcoming Hall elections.
“The congress is convened to delibrate on the formation of the katanga Republic Independent Electoral Commission (KRIEC) in preparation of the hall coming elections,” the statement read.
All Katangites have been encouraged to attend and participate actively in the Congress as part of efforts to ensure a credible, transparent, and orderly electoral process.
