With campaign materials being shared and votes being solicited as the 2026 Students’ Union election proceeds, the Students’ Union Electoral Commission (SUEC) has remained silent on these occurrences.
Recall that on October 30, 2026, SUEC released a memo stating that all campaigning and vote-soliciting activities should cease by 11:59 p.m. on Friday.
However, some individuals have been going from room to room to solicit votes, while others are still sharing campaign flyers in various groups even after the commencement of voting.
SUEC has, however, failed to address the issue as of press time, despite various pieces of evidence provided by IndyPress and UCJ reports confirming the practice.
