The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan branch, on Monday, 28th of November 2022 staged a demonstration to address lingering issues of concern affecting public universities.

The procession which started at Large Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Education witnessed members of the demonstrating staff union, students, parents, and members of the public chant solidarity songs.

In his address to members of the press, ASUU UI branch Chairman, Professor Ayoola Akinwole stated that the Union demands include “implementation of collectively bargained MOAs and MOUs, deployment of University Transparency of University Transparency Accountability Solution (UTAS), immediate release of visitation panel reports, reinstatement of all victimized Academics across Nigeria Universities among others”.
