The Legislative Council of the Great Independence Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan on Saturday, 9th November, 2024, adopted the hall’s first semester audit report.

The house adopted the audit during her 4th plenary sitting held at the Junior Common Room(JCR). The audit comprised record of the income and expenditure of the hall.

The details for the hall income Include: Basic dues – #2,610,000; T-shirts – #1,435,500; Elders’ capital project – #260,000; Freshers’ welcome – #172,500; IGR by the Public Relations Officers – #42,500; Sponsorship for freshers’ week – #70,500; Initial balance #29,308.75.

Details of expenditure: Executive pre-budget, #105,700; Executive Budget, #989,887; House budget, #239,505; Freshers’ Welcome, #403,200; Book and shirt, #2,407,500; Bank charges, #13, 909.94.

According to the presented report to the Hall Assembly, the total income was #4,629,308.75, while the total expenditure was #4,159,701.94.

The hall’s current account balance is #469,606.81.

A sum of #5,000 was however noted to be in the hall FCMB account.
