The Faculty of Science Executive Council (FASSA) has released a correspondence addressed to all her members, raising its concern with regards to the widely circulated release by the Faculty Literary and Debating Society President, Bayo Salaudeen, who announced the suspension of Oluwabukunmi Amoo, the society’s Vice-president for being loyal to her hall over the faculty as a speaker in the ongoing jaw war event.
The release which called for a harmonious and collaborative approach, was signed by Onyide Emmanuel, the Faculty President, and Olayera Daniel, the General Secretary.
Recall that following the faculty loss at yesterday’s Jaw war, FASSA L&D expressed its dissatisfaction with the Vice-president, Amoo Oluwabukunmi, for prioritising her hall’s L&D over that of her faculty.
“We wish to emphasize that we do not support these individual actions, as they contravene our faculty’s values of collaboration, inclusivity and collective decision making. We are committed to upholding the principles of fairness, transparency and accountability working alongside the F’SRC to ensure that decisions are made collectively, maintaining the integrity of our faculty,” the release stated.
The Executive Council ‘looks forward to resolving this matter amicably and promptly’ the release concluded.
