A 39-page report by the Finance Committee of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), 12th Assembly, has revealed the Committee’s consideration of ₦17,150,805 for the University of Ibadan Students’ Union Week, IndyPress reports.
The budget, co-signed by Hon. Adeleke Olawajuwon, Chairman of the Finance Committee, and Bioku Joshua, Secretary of the Committee, is currently under review at the ongoing fifth emergency sitting of the 12th Assembly for possible approval.
The proposed sum is intended to cover expenses for events such as the “rally and carnival, tech conference, health day, cultural day, inter-hall cooking competition, and sports festival,” among others.
Currently under review, the budget is yet to be ratified by the Shoge Quadri-led 12th Students’ Representative Council Assembly.
