Felled Trees Block Road Near Queen Elizabeth II Hall

By IndyPress News Desk

Some trees along the Queen Elizabeth II Hall of Residence have been felled, leaving parts of the road blocked, IndyPress reports.

IndyPress observed that the trees were being cut down on Saturday, October 24, 2026. As of the time of filing, the felled trees remained on the road, obstructing movement.

It is worth noting that this is not the first reported instance of tree felling on the University of Ibadan campus. Similar activities have been observed at various locations following the deforestation of Heritage Park in 2024.

Inquiry by IndyPress to understand the reason for the tree felling was unsuccessful as the information has not been made public.
