The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, popularly known as Babatee, was spotted at an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in Kaduna.
In a video obtained by IndyPress from the NANS president facebook story on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Afeez was seen at the campaign.
His presence at the event raises questions about the association’s commitment to political neutrality, as stated in Article 2, Section (i) of the NANS Constitution and Charter of Demands, which states that one of its aims is “To maintain absolute neutrality on partisan issues that border on political party affiliations.”
Recall that this is not the first time the leadership of the apex students’ body has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term bid under the APC.
The APC officially flagged off its 2027 presidential re-election campaign for President Tinubu at the Kaduna Township Stadium, also known as Ranchers Bees Stadium, in Kaduna State on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
