Twenty students of the University of Ibadan have been admitted into the SIGMA Club UI Roll of Honour, IndyPress reports.
This follows an interview process conducted by the club on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Kuti Hall Senior Common Room (SCR) from 7 AM to 11:30 PM.
Speaking with IndyPress, the Sigma Club Admission Interview Committee Chairman, Loyalist Odunaike Faruk Olukolade, described the screening as a crucial part of the recruitment process.
“The Sigma interview is a very important event of the club, as it is the gateway for UItes to become loyal Sigmites. It was thorough, free, and fair,” he said.
Loyalist Faruk also noted that applicants were attended to in order of arrival and were selected based on Sigma-like characters by the “magnanimity of the Sigma Chief.”
According to him, 69 students applied in total, but only 46 were invited for the screening based on eligibility criteria.
He also noted that, as part of the interview process, applicants took an aptitude test before each candidate was assessed and graded in an oral interview.
