The Great Independence Hall of residence is set to hold an emergency congress to deliberate on issues affecting the hall.
This was disclosed in a notice co-signed by the Administrator-General, Obinelo Chisom; the Secretary of State, Najimdeen Robiu Ayomide; and the Public Relations Officer, Sodiq Hammed Akinkumi, on Friday, July 24, 2026.
According to the notice, the congress is scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 by 5:00PM at Indy Hall quadrangle.
All All student residents are encouraged to be in attendance.
Speaking on the purpose of the congress, Indy Hall Administrator General, Obinelo Chisom told IndyPress that the congress aims to address the state of the hall as well as an emergency address by the hall warden.
“The main purpose [of the congress] is to discuss the state of the hall and an emergency address by the hall warden to Katangites on several issues.”he said.
