Sigma Club, University of Ibadan, has announced Saturday, August 29, 2026, as the commencement date for its annual Sports Festival.
The announcement was made in a graphic post shared by Sigma Club on its official WhatsApp platform on August 9, 2026.
Speaking with IndyPress, the Chairman of the Sigma Sports Festival Committee, Loyalist Ọ’Ladọja Ayọmide, said registration for the competitions is currently ongoing.
“The Sigma Sports Festival starts on August 29. It includes the following sports: Marathon, Football, Chess, Scrabble, Table Tennis and Ludo. Registration is still on and registration is free. More details would be made available during the press conference,” he said.
Sigma Club is a socio-philanthropic organization open to all male undergraduate students at the University of Ibadan.
