The Thursday Film Series is set to return this week with a screening exploring the enduring impact of police brutality and systemic violence on Nigerian society.
The screening will be held at Drapers Hall, Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 4 PM.
The program will feature ‘A Nation of Brutality’ by Ogochukwu Umeadi alongside ‘Collision’ by Bolanle Austen-Peters.
The films explore how institutional failure, economic despair, and systemic violence trap both the protector and the protected in a cycle of trauma.
A post-screening discussion on accountability will also follow the screenings.
