Indy Hall Election Postponed Due to Logistics Reason

The Katanga Republic Independent Electoral Commission (KRIEC) has officially announced the postponement of the anticipated 2025 elections.

The decision comes as a result of logistical challenges and interference from disqualified candidates, according to a special release issued by KRIEC.

The announcement was signed by Omachonu Kelvin, Chairman of KRIEC’25, alongside Ayinde Samuel, Secretary, and Najimdeen Robiu Ayomide, Public Relations Officer.

Originally scheduled for Wednesday, the election will now take place on Thursday, 27th of February 2025, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

“The Katanga Republic Independent Electoral Commission regrettably announces the postponement of the election this was due to logistics issues and shenanigans from some of the disqualified candidate, please bear with us as we understand inconvenience this might have cause,” KRIEC noted.

The commission reassured residents that the election will be physical, with further details on voting procedures to be released soon.

While acknowledging the inconvenience this change may cause, KRIEC emphasized its commitment to ensuring a free and fair election at the Great Independence Hall.

As the new election date approaches, KRIEC urged all residents of the Great Independence Hall of Residence to remain patient and committed to the democratic process.
