Lonimi, Obi, and Alhaji Knocked Out of Independence Hall Elections as KRIEC Release Screening Results

Lonimi Ogungbere, Oyewole Mobolaji(Alhaji), and Ejere Emmanuel(Obi) have been knocked out of the race for Independence Hall Executive positions after they failed to pass the screening exercise conducted by the Katanga Republic Independent Electoral Commission.

The Screening Commission chaired by Olaniyi Fashola, screened 33 candidates contesting for executive and legislative positions on Saturday. The exercise which held at the Independence Hall Secretariat lasted for 12 hours.

After Saturday’s exercise, the commission released the results on Monday morning.

Lonimi who is contesting for the post of the Administrator General(AG) scored 35/100 marks. Alhaji and Ejere who are running for the post of House Secretary scored 42/100 and 47 respectively.

According to the guidelines that were released before the exercise, aspirants must score a minimum of 50/100 to be able to run for the different positions. As such, three of them were knocked out of the race.

Meanwhile, for the legislative position, only Emiola Sarafa(A4 constituency) was disqualified.
