The University of Ibadan Students’ Union has announced the commencement date for the National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) refund application for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This was disclosed in a WhatsApp notice issued by the UISU President, Adeboye Temidayo Sewanu (Deboye), on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Recall that following an IndyPress report, the university management commenced the refund application process for beneficiaries of the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic sessions.
According to the union, the refund portal will open on Monday, August 17, 2026, and remain open for four weeks.
“All students who have paid their school fees in full or in part before the approval of their NELFUND loan for the 2025/2026 academic session are required to log in to https://uinelfundsupport.ui.edu.ng and provide the necessary information for refunds,” the union said.
Students are advised to read and carefully follow all instructions in the manual before submitting the required details. The status of refund can be tracked on the same platform.
The union further clarified that the NELFUND loan refund application is completely online and that students are not required to submit physical documents.
“Please note that the NELFUND loan refund application is completely online. Students are therefore not required to submit paper documents,” it added.
The union encouraged all eligible students to apply for their refunds within the stipulated four-week period.
