Speaking to IndyPress, the Students’ Union President, Odedele Covenant, explained that the examination packages were donated by well-meaning individuals

Two Katangites, Adedayo Adetoro, a graduate of Economics, and Ayomide Alonge, were awarded ₦200,000 and ₦50,000 respectively by the Alumni Association as the winner and runner-up of the Alumni Logo Design Competition

The Union further advised students to take advantage of the deadline extension, while reiterating its commitment to prioritizing students’ welfare.

According to the broadcast, the Union advised students to channel their complaints to three designated student leaders, whose mobile numbers were provided.

The Great Independence Hall Literary and Debating Society, University of Ibadan, held its rookie induction ceremony on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Indy Hall Cafeteria.

According to the African Studies Association, “fellows will attend the ASA Annual Meeting, visit U.S. institutions, collaborate with Africanist scholars, and present their research.”

It further urged the University community to maintain proper health and environmental hygiene during the current rainy season to prevent flooding and the breeding of mosquitoes.

He further stated that all payments were made on the spot in the presence of the Bursary Committee before the students’ departure from the Students’ Union Building

The Union further explained that a new date for the events would be communicated soon, while assuring that the current challenges are being addressed.
