Following the consensus reached by university management and the students’ union, the union announced that preparations were being finalized and that an official memorandum of approval from management was expected within two weeks.
While the union released a statement on May 28 following the expiration of that two-week timeframe, no specific timeline has been established by the university since, and there has been no further communication.
Efforts to obtain a comment from the student union president, Deboye Temidayo, have proven unsuccessful, as he has yet to respond to messages.
